A day in the life
As an Account Manager at APD, your primary role will see you out on the road, meeting our diverse range of trade customers on site, promoting APD solutions, educating customers on the full Stormwater and Wastewater management solutions and our capability which is unique to APD in the Auckland market.
This is a key role where you will build on existing customer relationships, identifying opportunity and future growth expansion within your own customer portfolio.
Your Key Responsibilities:
Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with existing client portfolio
Identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling additional products or services
Actively participate in relevant industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities
Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders
Monitor and record sales performance using our CRM system HubSpot
Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve revenue target
Provide regular updates and insights on market trends
Ideally, we are looking for
Successful background in sales or account management roles, preferably within the construction, building materials, or manufacturing industry
A passion for working with and selling to "tradies"
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and trust with diverse clientele
Excellent negotiation and communication skills, both verbal and written
Strategic thinker with the capacity to identify and capitalise on market opportunities
Highly organised with the ability to prioritise tasks and manage multiple projects
Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite
Innovative, be solution focused, able to think outside the square
A high level of professionalism - able to present confidently
Be self-managing, - capable of making sound business decisions
