We are recruiting for an experienced Account Manager who is passionate about engaging with customers across the Pacific and in New Zealand, to better understand their needs and help provide effective solutions.
Job DescriptionThe Role: Do you have a passion for identifying new business opportunities in the shipping industry? We're on the lookout for a seasoned Account Manager to join our dynamic team at Pacific Forum Line. In this role, you'll be instrumental in not only meeting, but surpassing, budget targets by maximising sales from our current accounts through effective relationship management. Your expertise in both nurturing existing partnerships and securing new business opportunities will be pivotal in shaping our success.
As a vital member of our team, you'll report directly to the Sales Manager, collaborating closely with our sales team, regional offices, and agents. Your responsibilities extend to cross-selling our comprehensive suite of services, encompassing sea and airfreight, warehousing and trucking, and forwarding divisions. We're not just looking for someone to drive new business growth; we value your ability to maintain and enhance our existing client relationships.

Some of your responsibilities will be to: Develop and implement a key account management plan as guided by the Sales Manager, including an account-by-account budget for volume, revenue, and yieldWork with the Sales Manager to set up a regular call cycle for customers as well as maintain a pipeline of new business opportunitiesTrack and report on budget performance comparing actual vs budgetDevelop and package supply chain solutions, utilizing app technology for track and trace and company warehouse and trucking capabilities for to door solutionsNegotiate and secure sales at optimal price and yieldCoordinate push and pull sales actions with the international sales teamMaintain high standards of written communication, including quotations to customers, written sales leads and sales reportsIdentify, negotiate, manage, and execute special events, trade shows and retail functions.Consistently represent the brand in a positive and ethical mannerOther duties as requiredQualificationsHere's what you'll bring to the table: A minimum of 5 years in similar position within the shipping industryProven leadership skills and ability to adapt style to suit a variety of cultures and working stylesAbility to think strategically and execute with excellenceStrong analytical and project management skillsAbility to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environmentResourcefulness with an innovation to drive sales growthAbility to adapt to evolving role and responsibilities, open to new learning opportunitiesHigh proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (especially Excel, PowerPoint, and Word)The ability to converse/communicate in French would be an advantageA full clean Drivers LicenceYou are someone with exceptional interpersonal and communication skills and an ability to work within a complex culture. Self-driven to achieve goals, your high level of energy and dedicated work ethic makes you stand out from the rest.
With strong technical skills in Excel and PowerPoint, you have highly developed verbal and written communication skills, including outstanding presentation skills and the ability to communicate clearly, concisely, and persuasively across all levels of an organisation.
