Te Whatu Ora Health New Zealand (Nelson Marlborough) formerly NMDHB 1.0 FTE / Fixed term for 8 months 80 hours per fortnight Nelson Location Nga mohiohio e pa ana ki tenei mahi (About this position) This districtwide position is responsible for ensuring that ACC Revenue and Non Resident Revenue is maximised across Te Whatu Ora (Nelson Marlborough).
The role will include the development of mutually positive relationships between NM HNZ and ACC and will support process improvement initiatives to increase operational efficiencies for all ACC & Non Resident Revenue.
This role works closely with the ACC & Revenue Coordinator in an integrated Partnership to collectively achieve the defined Revenue Targets.
You'll ideally also have experience dealing with the complexities of a sizeable, diverse organisation.
Key tasks are revenue generation, interpretation and application of ACC contract rules, providing in-depth analysis of charged revenue on a monthly basis including details for various services and the specific types of revenues, troubleshooting any issues and the identification of process gaps, development of relationships and cross cover with the ACC & Revenue Coordinator.
This along with the development and fostering of good working relationships with internal providers and external agencies are essential.
This is a fixed term, full-time position, based in Nelson - working 80 hours a fortnight, reporting to the Manager - Financial Operations.
There will be the requirement to travel to Wairau Hospital in Blenheim on a regular basis.

If you have: a tertiary qualification in a relevant business discipline, or comparable experience is desirable.
demonstrated experience within the health sector, desirably with knowledge of medical records and associated databases (desirable) Knowledge of ACC processes or other contractual relationships (desirable) An understanding of the accounts receivable, financial accounting and invoicing process (desirable) Well-developed communication skills - negotiation / written / verbal / presentation Creative thinking with sound problem-solving skills Ability to work independently and within a team framework Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain successful working relationships with a diverse range of people then this position is for you.
The successful candidate must be eligible to work in New Zealand or hold a valid NZ visa at the time of applying.
