The Academic Programme Leader is responsible for leading the research, development, and implementation of University Foundation & business programmes at Kiwi College of New Zealand, a Private Training Establishment (PTE) in New Zealand. The role involves overseeing the academic quality of programmes, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and enhancing the learning experience for students. The Academic Programme Leader will collaborate with faculty, industry partners, and regulatory bodies to ensure the delivery of high-quality, industry-relevant business education.
This job is required to perform: (specific duty tasks)
1. Programme Development and Research:
Lead the research and development of new business programmes, ensuring they meet industry standards and student needs.
Conduct market research to identify trends and demands in business education and incorporate findings into programme development.
Design curriculum and course content that aligns with the latest industry practices and academic standards.
2. Academic Quality and Compliance:
Ensure all business programmes comply with New Zealand Qualifications Authority (NZQA) standards and other regulatory requirements.
Develop and implement quality assurance processes to maintain high academic standards.
Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of programmes and make necessary improvements based on feedback and performance data.
3. Teaching and Learning:
Provide leadership in pedagogical approaches and innovative teaching methods to enhance student learning.
Oversee the development and delivery of engaging and effective instructional materials.
Support faculty in the delivery of business programmes through training and professional development.
4. Student Support and Engagement:
Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that supports student success.
Address student queries and concerns related to academic programmes.
Implement strategies to increase student engagement and retention.
5. Industry Collaboration and Networking:
Establish and maintain relationships with industry partners to ensure programmes are relevant and meet employer needs.
Coordinate guest lectures, workshops, and internships to provide students with real-world business experiences.
Engage with professional organizations and industry networks to stay updated on business trends and opportunities.
6. Faculty Management and Development:
Provide leadership and support to faculty members teaching in the business programmes.
Conduct regular performance reviews and provide feedback to faculty.
Identify professional development opportunities for faculty to enhance their teaching skills and subject knowledge.
7. Strategic Planning and Reporting:
Contribute to the strategic planning and development of the faculty and institution.
Prepare and present reports on programme performance, student outcomes, and other relevant metrics.
Develop and manage budgets for business programmes and related activities.

Job requirement: applicant must meet following requirement to apply for this job
Master's degree or higher in Business, Education, or a related field.
Minimum of five years experience in academic programme development or education sector.
