We are seeking an enthusiastic and innovative Academic Teacher to join our team in Christchurch, New Zealand. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality educational programs to a diverse student population, fostering an engaging and inclusive learning environment.ResponsibilitiesDevelop and implement effective lesson plans and instructional materials aligned with curriculum standardsUtilize innovative teaching methodologies to enhance student learning and engagementProvide individualized support and guidance to students, addressing their unique needs and learning stylesAssess student progress through various evaluation methods and provide constructive feedbackCollaborate with colleagues, administrators, and parents to ensure a cohesive educational experienceParticipate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and stay current with educational trendsMaintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and progress reportsPromote a positive and inclusive classroom environment that values diversity and encourages critical thinkingQualificationsBachelor's degree or higher in a relevant discipline, with a strong academic backgroundMinimum of two years of teaching experience at the college level or equivalent within a higher education environment (teaching experience at the Year 11 and Year 12 levels will also be considered)Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Learning Management SystemsStrong classroom management skills and the ability to maintain an engaging and productive learning environmentWell-developed oral and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex conceptsAbility to develop and implement effective lesson plans and instructional materials aligned with curriculum standardsExpertise in utilizing innovative teaching methodologies to enhance student learning and engagementAbility to assess student progress through various evaluation methods and provide constructive feedbackExpertise in tailoring delivery for diverse student populations, including international studentsCommitment to promoting a positive and inclusive classroom environment that values diversity and encourages critical thinkingKnowledge of current educational trends, theories, and best practices in the field of educationExcellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to multitask and meet deadlinesAbility to work collaboratively with colleagues, administrators, and parents to support student successFamiliarity with the New Zealand education system and curriculum standards (preferred)Additional InformationAbout NavitasNavitas is a leading global education provider that has helped generations of learners transform their lives through education.
