Support student academic success through mentoring, workshops, and collaboration under Lincoln's Manaaki Tauira Learner Success Plan.
Provide a comprehensive service in support of tauira | student academic success, in line with Lincoln University's Manaaki Tauira Learner Success Plan. This position is also responsible for providing tauira with consistent and ongoing academic monitoring and mentoring.
This position is based within the Academic Success team in Learning and Teaching Excellence, within the portfolio of the Director of Learning, Teaching and Library (LTL).
Some tasks of the role include:
Provide targeted support and coaching to improve tauira engagement and resolve challenges.
Monitor and track tauira success indicators and identify appropriate interventions.
Collaborate across campus to align support services and promote tauira involvement.
Deliver workshops, appointments, and resources to support tauira academic success.
Maintain accurate records of tauira interactions and adhere to university policies.
This is a permanent, full-time role working 37.5 hours per week based at our Lincoln Campus. The salary range is set at $70,000 - $75,000.
To be successful in this role you will need:
A tertiary qualification in education, teaching and learning, or a related field (teaching degree preferred).
Sound and up to date understanding and awareness of the role of learning and teaching, preferably in the tertiary environment.
High computing and web-based skills preferred. Previous experience working in online learning within higher education highly preferred.
Ability to understand and adapt to different discourse styles and academic conventions to develop materials and programmes for diverse disciplines.
Ability to determine the appropriateness of learning support resources, activities and materials.
A high standard or oral and written communication.
