You will work with a team of staff who are experienced Nurse Educators. Staff members are expected to work in the Nurse Prescribing and Nurse Practitioner pathway. This role requires a passion for nursing and nursing education, has an excellent reputation as a professional, and can contribute to undergraduate and/or postgraduate education and research. Participating in research projects is an expectation, with a level of involvement in research negotiated as part of the role.
Nga Pukenga Me Nga Wheako - Skills and experience:
A degree qualification in nursing or a related discipline
Nurse Practitioner with current NZ Practicing Certificate and three plus years experience full-time clinical experience as a nurse practitioner
Current industry/discipline knowledge
Clinical and educational qualifications and skills that support teaching of nursing and advanced practice nursing
Vision, innovation and a commitment to facilitating own and others' learning
Digital literacy including - competence using a computer and experience with online learning modalities
Works collaboratively and co-operatively, contributes to teams.
Recognises diversity positively (cultural, socioeconomic, age, ability)
Sound professional judgment and integrity
Passionate about nursing and the opportunities to improve practice or give back to nursing through education
