Naia te powhiri na Te Whare Wananga o Waitaha kia tono mai i te turanga nei.Au Mahi | What You Will DoAs the Academic Records Special Consideration Coordinator you will process applications for our students who have suffered an impairment in their assessments or ability to study for assessments, due to unforeseen circumstances, known as a "special consideration".
You will ensure Special Considerations applications are processed in a timely and efficient manner, being sympathetic to the needs and situations faced by our students.
This may also involve liaising with relevant staff across the wider University.
You will also provide support to ensure University Graduation Celebrations run smoothly, transcripts are provided efficiently, and all associated processes are followed in line with regulations.Mou | Who You AreTo be successful in this role, you will need 3-5 years of significant experience in an administrative role.
You should have demonstrated the following:Experience in a student service role, demonstrating strong interpersonal skills and resilience.Ability to be tolerant, patient and sympathetic with students and their whanau.Have worked in a tertiary environment or large organisation.Proficient in maintaining accurate records and data entry.Ability to think creatively and take initiative to improve processes and enhance student support.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Proficiency in Microsoft Office particularly Excel and Teams.Ability to manage multiple tasks at once with ease and work well under pressure.Knowledge of tertiary education sector would be beneficial, however is not essential.If you are looking for a fast paced, exciting role that has a real impact on students, please apply!Mahi Ngatahi | Who You Will Work WithThe Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic)'s Office supports and provides overarching vision and leadership in the core academic mission of the University.
