About the role The function of the Academic Director is to ensure that all of the Wananga recognized courses are delivered to the highest standards of excellence and meet the requirements of all appropriate stakeholders, especially, but not limited to, the Tertiary Education Commission (TEC), Ministry of Education (MOE), and the New Zealand Qualification Authority (NZQA). This function also includes responsibility for the standardized reporting requirements of these stakeholders.
