THE OPPORTUNITY We are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to oversee the financial, contractual, and sales management aspects of commercial window, roofing and special projects. The role will manage the end-to-end commercial aspects of projects, ensuring profitability, cost control, contract compliance, and safety, while actively engaging with stakeholders to secure future work. Additionally, you will be responsible for pricing jobs and coordinating in-house resources for seamless project delivery.
RESPONSIBILITIES Review construction and roofing plans, perform quantity take-offs and prepare accurate cost estimates.Organise work methodologies for pricing and prepare comprehensive tender documents.Prepare and review project contract documents, ensuring legal and commercial standards are met.Manage financial documentation, including progress claims, retentions, final accounts, and budget reports.Build and maintain relationships with contractors, developers, and key stakeholders.Conduct onsite inspections to verify safety, quality, and progress.Provide material and procurement management to ensure accurate material ordering.Collaborate with Project Managers and Site Managers to align financial and contractual goals with project execution.Identify, assess, and mitigate financial and contractual risks.ABOUT YOU Bachelor's degree or diploma in quantity surveying, construction management, or a related field.Minimum 5 years of experience in a Quantity Surveyor role, ideally within the roofing or related construction sectors.Strong knowledge of contract law, cost control, procurement processes, and health & safety regulations.Experience in preparing and reviewing contract documents, variations, progress claims, and final accounts.Proficient in relevant QS software and tools (e.g., CostX, ERP systems, Excel, MS Project).Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.BENEFITS Competitive rates: We offer competitive wages and benefits that recognise your hard work and dedication.Health and safety: Your safety is our top priority, and we provide comprehensive training and equipment to keep you safe on the job.Opportunities for growth: At Contour, we believe in investing in our team members and providing opportunities for growth and advancement.Team perks: Enjoy perks like company-sponsored events, team-building activities, and employee discounts on products and services.APPLICATION PROCESS If this sounds like you, we would like to hear from you!
