Abbeyfield Wanaka - Treasurer [Volunteer Position]

Details of the offer

We are at the beginning stages of becoming an incorporated society with the goal of building an Abbeyfield House in Wanaka and we are in need of a volunteer Treasurer to join our amazing leadership team. The purpose of the Treasurer role for Abbeyfield House in Wanaka is to provide proactive, professional and accurate support to the executive team in the finance area. This will include setting up and overseeing the organisation's financial administration, reviewing and enforcing financial policies and procedures, budgeting, and financial strategy.
About us
Abbeyfield Wanaka is affiliated with Abbeyfield New Zealand Inc– the parent body for Abbeyfield in New Zealand. We plan to build an Abbeyfield House in Wanaka in the next eighteen months. There are currently 14 Abbeyfield houses in New Zealand providing a home to 161 residents. Abbeyfield House allows for independent living for the over 65's in a social environment and is an affordable option for people with limited assets and income.
All Abbeyfield entities are registered New Zealand charities.
