Our people are at the heart of our operation and in this dynamic and constantly evolving sector, it's your drive to deliver our business goals that will keep our organisation competitive for the future.As the Line Manager, you'll be responsible for the management of all strategic, day-to-day operational and people elements of Flight Crew members operating on either our fleet of A320 or F100 aircraft.
Your primary focus will be managing crew delivery and conduct standards and driving a performance culture by developing a high performing team and engaged workforce.In this role, you will lead face-to-face communication with crew and drive pilot development and leadership, as well as foster effective collaboration across a broad range of stakeholders to support a safe, compliant, efficient, and sustainable operation.
Additionally, you will work alongside the Manager Line Operations to develop and implement projects that support change.You will also maintain line currency as an A320 or F100 pilot, and conduct line flying operations as required.Key ResponsibilitiesDrive a high-performance culture with a focus on continuous improvement to safety leadership and customer excellence.Oversee all people elements for a diverse and operational pilot workforce.Lead face-to-face communication with crew and drive pilot development and leadership.Foster effective collaboration across a broad range of stakeholders.Maintain line currency as an A320 or F100 pilot and conduct line flying operations as required.QualificationsYou'll have:Extensive operational line pilot experience operating in a High Capacity RPT and/or Charter operation.Proven experience leading teams.Sound understanding of A320 or F100 aircraft operation and strong technical flying knowledge.Strong leadership skills, with capability to lead and manage large workforces in a just culture environment.Ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders, peers, and frontline staff.Demonstrated effective case management capability.Detailed knowledge of flight crew awards and agreements and their interoperability with the operational environment.Knowledge of the systems and resources that support Flight Operations.Ability to show initiative and sound judgment when required to make decisions and gain cooperation.Ability to use discretion and maintain confidentiality.Ability to analyse, problem solve and facilitate outcomes using data.Comprehensive understanding of Flight Operations Policy and Procedures and Aviation Regulations (CASA, IOSA).Employee BenefitsThe Qantas employee benefits program offers amazing benefits that extend well beyond travel:Enjoy heavily discounted air travel within Australia and across the globe for you and your family and friends.Make use of leave and flexible working opportunities including 18 weeks paid parental leave.Access to thousands of rewards through our partnerships including discounts across shopping, food and wine, and health and wellbeing.Support for your wellbeing through various programs and resources.Qantas is an equal opportunity employer committed to providing a working environment that embraces and values diversity and inclusion.
