3 Water Engineer

Ours is a small close-knit council, where there are outstanding opportunities for variety of work.
This is particularly so for our 3 Waters Engineer, who is Council's in-house expert on water, wastewater and stormwater with responsibilities including short and long term planning, asset management, contract and project management, ensuring regulatory compliance, undertaking analysis, reporting and interfacing with customers.
You need to have a constant sharp focus on the need to protect the community and the environment, whilst operating in an environment where efficiency is very important.
This very broad range of duties requires a person who has both a significant range of capability and a good awareness of the limits of those capabilities, able to judge where assistance may be needed.
To be successful in this role you are likely to be either a broadly experienced waters engineer familiar with many of these aspects, or an engineer with more limited experience in water services who has a strong technical foundation and the ability, confidence and motivation to rapidly acquire the necessary skills and knowledge to be effective in this very varied position.
