Job DescriptionOur market leading Sydney based client are recruiting for two Data Engineers to join their team on a permanent basis.
Duties:
Play a crucial role in maintaining data platforms (CDW, ACE, and MDM) and associated data integration platforms (Informatica, Striim) from both operational and strategic angles.Ensure that all potential risks have clear remediation plans, and maintain proactive monitoring across all platforms.Contribute to the ongoing development and upkeep of the roadmap and strategic vision for data platforms and data integration platforms, considering their interconnections with upstream and downstream systems.Lead the way in defining requirements, intricate design, and development of data platforms and data integration platforms for assigned projects, ensuring that deadlines, budgets, and quality standards are met.Collaborate on the operational and strategic support of data platforms (CDW, ACE, and MDM) and related data integration platforms (Informatica, Striim).Guarantee that these platforms maintain uninterrupted availability and uptime, and have established processes for resolving issues.Participate in implementing development practices, methodologies, and tools for data platforms and data integration platforms.Take charge of implementing and assessing data governance standards, principles, and best practices.
Requirements:
Hold a bachelor's degree in Information Technology or a related field, along with a minimum of 5 years of experience in business application development.Possess 5+ years of experience working with Microsoft SQL Server, Microsoft Azure, or similar database and cloud platforms.Demonstrate 5+ years of experience with Informatica, Striim, or similar data integration platforms, encompassing batch, near real-time, and streaming data.Boast 5+ years of experience handling structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data sources and types.Exhibit 5+ years of experience in formulating and implementing solution designs, development standards, data quality metrics, end-to-end development processes, and analogous practices for data platforms and data integration platforms.Demonstrate 5+ years of proven technical expertise in one or more business domains and data domains.Possess 5+ years of experience with SQL, Python, or equivalent data languages.Offer 5+ years of experience in managing and resolving incidents and issues associated with data platforms and data integration platforms.Nice to Have: Familiarity with Data Quality Frameworks and Practices.Nice to Have: Proficiency in Solution Architecture development and implementation.Nice to Have: Experience in leading teams, setting priorities, and driving teams toward successful outcomes.Nice to Have: Expertise in Data Modeling, Data Catalogs/Dictionaries, and Data Analysis of data sources and data platforms.
