We are looking for Cooks to join our talented kitchen team at Kebab Express Thames, Authentic Turkish Restaurant. We have 2 positions available. Your responsibilities will be, but are not limited to: · Preparing ingredients for menu items. · Preparing and cooking high-quality meals and food items according to company recipes. · Storing food at the correct temperature in order to avoid spoilage. · Ensuring that food portions and food presentation meet company standards. · Assisting in planning menus and food requirements. · Regulating temperatures of ovens, grills and other cooking equipment. · Portioning food, placing it on plates, and adding gravies, sauces and garnishes. · Ensure that recipes and proportions are adhered to, to ensure consistency and quality. · Receiving deliveries and verifying that all ordered items have been delivered and are of good quality. · Catering for the needs of special dietary requirements. · Monitoring quality of dishes at all stages of preparation and presentation. · If requested order and maintain inventory to ensure efficient operations. · Ensuring that cooking utensils are clean before each use. · Cleaning and sterilizing food preparation areas. · Assisting other cooks to ensure that food orders are completed in a timely manner. · Ensuring that food health and safety regulations are followed. Other information about the role: · This is a full-time permanent role. Minimum guaranteed 40 hours per week. Maximum 55 hours. This is a rostered shift, and you may be required to work in the weekend ,public holiday and evening shifts · Hours will be Monday to Sunday 11am to 10pm · An attractive pay rate of $30 per hour · Location: 451 Pollen Street, Thames We're looking for someone who has: · Having a Strong Desire to Please · Team Players Belong in the Kitchen · Organisation Matters in the Kitchen · Thorough understanding of Turkish cuisine is a must.
