In every aspect of our work, we are committed to helping whanau be the best they can be.He Korero Mo Te Turanga | The RoleWe are seeking Casual Support Workers to join two of our services: Te Puna Oranga - Housing and Recovery Services and Tumanako Me Whakapono - Residential Mental Health Service. These roles will involve providing support to individuals in residential settings, assisting with their recovery journey, and engaging in various activities that promote wellbeing and community integration.Te Puna Oranga provides support for adults with dual diagnosis (mental health and addiction) through both Daytime and Awake Night Support shifts. In this role, you'll be working with adults who are navigating their recovery in a supportive, structured environment.Tumanako Me Whakapono focuses on residential care for clients with high needs and clinical oversight. This service engages individuals in community-based activities, such as art and crafts, walking, shopping, and cooking, to support their recovery and reintegration into the community.In both roles, you will work closely with a multi-disciplinary team to provide a safe and nurturing environment for individuals with varying needs, supporting them to achieve their goals and develop life skills.Key Responsibilities:Build strong, positive relationships with clients, supporting them on their recovery journey.Engage clients in structured programmes and community activities, such as art, cooking, shopping, and social outings.Assist with daily living tasks, personal care, and other activities as needed.Ensure safety and well-being of clients through appropriate supervision and support.Maintain accurate and timely documentation, including support plans and risk assessments.Work collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team to provide the best care and support to clients.He Korero Mou | About YouWe are looking for compassionate individuals with a genuine desire to support others in their recovery journey. You will have experience working in mental health, addiction, or social services and enjoy engaging with clients in a residential setting.
