Your primary role is to enhance the qualityof life for the residents we serve while embodying Hawksbury's values in allaspects of your work.
You'll assist the Manager in the dailyoperations of the home, stepping into a leadership role when needed. Providingguidance and support to both residents and colleagues, you'll create anurturing environment by leading through example. Upholding respect, dignity,and advocacy for residents' rights, you'll maintain a positive atmospherewithin the home.
Additionally, you'll play a crucial role insupporting adults with Learning Disabilities in managing their daily routinesand engaging with their community.
This position will be working in a9-bedroom home with a mix of male and female residents. Several of theresidents use wheelchairs so experience with adaptive equipment and safe manualhandling would be an advantage but not essential as training will be provided.
Note: Hawksbury is accredited to hire staff on an Accredited EmployerWork Visa (AEWV), we do not havea Job Check for this position so cannot support applicant with the visaprocess. You will have an NZ Certificatein Health and Wellbeing Level 3 or above along with: A positive attitude to supporting people with learningdisability.A full New Zealand driver's licence.Great communication skills (written and verbal).What we can offer Ongoing development opportunities.
