About the opportunity  At our Richmond branch, we pride ourselves on offering exceptional service and hope to fill this role with a like-minded individual.
Your role as 2IC will supervise our team daily to ensure our customers are looked after and understand that every time they walk in, call, or email our branch that their query is important to us, and we will do our utmost to take care of them.
Your role is, in essence, counter sales with the additional responsibility for developing our team, branch purchasing/stock control and debt management.
We enjoy working with our customers (mostly electricians) across domestic, industrial and commercial sectors – and we want to ensure we have the right person to maintain our high level of support.
Our preferred candidate is proactive, computer-literate, values teamwork and has a strong service-sales ethos.
Your proven experience in providing top level service and sales is key, allowing you more time to devote to learning our products, systems, and processes.

With lots of variety in this role, some key responsibilities include: Assisting with the effective recruitment and selection of employees along with management of individual and team performance Developing and maintaining strong rapport with key customers Identifying opportunities to generate sales by offering top-level service, (e.g.
providing accurate and timely solutions, dealing with quotes and complaints, supporting promotions)Developing customer loyalty through building relationships and anticipating future needs of branch customersBeing solely responsible for understanding branch stock requirements and ensuring replenishment of inventory to ensure stock is available to customersSupporting the Branch Manager to ensure that the branch maintains high standards of serviceDebt management (returns for credits, outstanding monies, etc.
)Be available to support branch with other aspects as and when needed (e.g.
deliveries)Ensuring Health & Safety protocols are adhered to at all times.The hours for your role are Monday to Friday, 7.30am – 5.00pm.
