Job Description
We invite applicants for the position of Assistant Farm Manager . This is a great opportunity for someone able and capable of management level. Showing experience and having qualities and the ability to move forward in the dairy industry, with strong support and guidance from the on-farm manager and business manager. You will have involvement along with the ability to contribute to the day-to-day planning and management of the farm with Health and Safety at the forefront of mind.

The Business:
Southburn Dairy Ltd is located 12 min from Timaru. We farm 1180ha made up of cropping, young stock, beef, and two dairy farms, a 60 bail rotary and a 40 aside herringbone. Both farms run alongside each other under the same management. The properties consist of rolling hills and flat land with pivot irrigation, k-lines, and hard hose guns with a feed support block just 5kms down the road. This position is for Assistant Farm Manager of the 40 aside herringbone Somerset dairy farm.

On-farm training for all aspects of the role will be given for the right applicant. Having experience on rolling hills is a benefit but training will be provided.
