Our schools are dispersed geographically and range in size and composition:13 elementary schools1 middle school1 K-10 school4 secondary schools2 K-12 schoolsonline learning and blended programsan extensive array of program options, including Aboriginal Education, Late French Immersion, Outdoor Programs, and a strong International Program.The annual pay range for a full time teacher is $63,367 to $111,488, with placement on the range based on experience and qualifications in accordance with the collective agreement.School District #8 (Kootenay Lake) has a vacancy for a 0.4 FTE Term Grade 1/2 Classroom Teacher at South Nelson Elementary School in Nelson B.C. to join our team of professionals in delivering a quality educational program to our students.The awarded applicant will have recent demonstrated successful experience in primary classrooms and working collaboratively with school staff and the school based team. The awarded applicant will be knowledgeable and able to work appropriately with students who may have diverse learning and behavior needs.The awarded applicant will be innovative, creative, and demonstrate understanding of B.C.'s redesigned curriculum, the BC Early Learning Framework and the district directions.
