The opportunity We're currently seeking a full-time position for a yard person/forklift operator to join our dispatch team at Quality Bakers site in East Tamaki, Auckland. You will be responsible for maintaining general yard tidiness and conduct general housekeeping duties. This position is suited for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys staying active throughout the day.
You will possess a willingness and an aptitude to learn and ideally have some warehouse experience. To ensure success in this role; you will have Good physical strength and a good eye for detail especially with regards to safety and housekeeping.
Key accountabilities of the role include: Organizing and moving stacks of crates, helping to unload crate containers (when needed)Meeting drivers on site and keep an eye on safety compliance (wheel chocks, PPE)Cleaning of Forklift and any equipment used in the yardSeparating recycling waste as required and identifying contamination and escalate.Take ownership of the returns area and ensuring it is kept up to Goodman Fielder Quality standardsFiling and record keeping of quality check sheets where requiredWork area inspections for HSE where requiredGeneral duties as required or requestedThe successful applicant will have: Experienced working in a similar role or settingCurrent forklift license is an advantageProactive approach to work and strong work ethicsPhysically capable to undertake the requirements of the role (Lifting etc)Shift pattern available: Sunday to Thursday 12pm- 8pm Pay rate starts at $25 p/h You will be joining a driven team of professionals who genuinely enjoy working together, resulting in a highly collaborative environment.
