About the Role | Mo te Turanga
Reporting into the Value Lead for Team Advice, Employment and Workplace relations, you will lead a small team of Advisors, shaping and mentoring their journey, while leading engagement and strategic direction for all of our Union Relations. Working closely with other stakeholders in the business, you will work through proposals and their impacts, recommending the best course of action for all parties. Key responsibilities include:
Partner with WWNZ Directors and the wider ANZ leadership team to develop IR/UR strategies and collective bargaining tactics for existing and emerging WWNZ businessesBuild positive relationships with our Union Partners across the countryPlay a key role in shaping our wider People policiesPartner with Directors to identify and manage Industrial issues, providing guidance for senior leadershipPartner with the People Tribes on the implementation of and interpretation of agreementsProvide guidance, leadership and mentoring to a small team of AdvisorsAct as an SME for all things IR/UR, including our collective agreements About You | Mou
Ideally, you will have experience within a large, retail focused, waged workforce in NZ. We need someone who is adept at building relationships with Unions, understanding their positioning and clear on how best to work together to deliver outcomes that benefit our team members, and business as a whole. You'll be well versed in Industrial Relations, an expert in collective bargaining and possess a demonstrated ability to lead small teams to success. You understand risk and control monitoring and possess demonstrable experience in this space. We are a people focused organisation, so you'll be known for being a collaborative and positive presence to work alongside, engaging a variety of stakeholders across the business, including Exec.
