A significant part of this role will beworking one on one with a lady who is very active and requires low levelstimulating engaging activities and support. You will need to be able to useyour initiative and recognise when she requires quiet time and or potentiallyengage in activities, outings, domestic chores and things that provideopportunities for growth and development. A quiet but engaging demeanour willensure you develop a trusting bond with this delightful lady. Part of your rolewill require you to proactively encourage and support her with planning andattending these activities.
Role 1: Thursday, Friday, and Saturday,3-7pm - 24 hours per fortnightRole 2: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday 7-9amand Sun 7am-3pm - 28 Hours per fortnightThese roles offer flexibility, withpotential for additional hours on a casual basis as needed.
Ideally, you'll have an NZ Certificatein Health and Wellbeing Level 2 or equivalent along with: A positive attitude to supporting people with learningdisability.A full New Zealand driver's licence.Great communication skills (written and verbal).
