In everything we do, we demonstrate our values of manaakitanga, kotahitanga and rangatiratanga.Our leaders paint the big picture, inspire and drive results.About the roleThe purpose of the Senior Procurement Advisor role is to provide support, advice and play a key role in the delivery of procurement and contract management activities for the Council Group ensuring procurement principles, policies, tools and processes are adhered too and best practices are followed, achieving optimal value and managing risk acceptably.The Senior Procurement Advisor will play a critical role in collaborating across the Council Group, enabling and supporting ongoing improvement in the maturity of procurement activities and delivery for the future.About YouTo be successful in this role you will possess -An in depth understanding of procurement principles and processesProven experience in working with local government is advantageous though not essentialExperience in contract management, supporting systems and complex processesProven track record of supporting change and implementing new toolsRecognised supply chain management qualification or similar is a nice to haveOutstanding relationship building and stakeholder management skills coupled with finely tuned interpersonal skillsExcellent communication skills both verbal and writtenIn returnWe offer a fantastic working environment and a career that you will enjoy and can take real pride in.
