Division The Johnson GroupJob Type ContractLocation WellingtonRef# EW6257Posted 7 May 2024Close off 14 May 2024 Fixed term contract for 6-8 monthsComplex programme for a large government organisation - friendly and high performing teamRemote working is possible – ideally based in the North IslandOur client is looking for a Programme Manager to manage their Holidays Act Programme of work involving rectification of their payroll system to make it compliant with the Holidays Act, and also to remediate current and former employees for any underpayments of holiday pay.
This role is required to manage a small team involved in testing all the configuration changes being made to the payroll system and the remediation calculations, liaising with internal teams to implement these changes, liaising with external vendors providing payroll services, liaising with assurance providers to complete all the assurance requirements for the project and liaising with National PMO for organising funding for the payments and making the payments to employees. The suitable candidate will have the right to work in NZ, relevant project management experience (ideally from a New Zealand government department) showcasing their abilities to handle the requirements of this role and the aptitude to manage both internal and external relationships well. This role will join a project midway through and will require the Programme Manager to 'hit the ground running'.
Fixed term – starting ASAP; until mid-Dec 2024.
Location – Remote working is possible. – Base can be anywhere, preferably in the North Island. Travel expenses will be paid.
