Childcare & Outside School Hours Care (Education & Training) OUT OF SCHOOL CARE – OSCAR PROGRAMME MANAGERWe are a privately run business with14 years onsite at Oratia District School. We are seeking a highly motivated, passionate and enthusiastic caring leader to deliver an outstanding Oscar Programme to our primary school children aged 5-12 years old. This is a rare and exciting opportunity to work with a fun team of dedicated staff, delivering extraordinary quality care for our wonderful children.The successful applicant will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the programme, ensuring that all activities are safe, fun, and engaging for the children. They will also be responsible for leading a team of extraordinary assistants, providing guidance and support to ensure the absolute smooth running of the programme.Key responsibilities:- Manage the day-to-day operations of the out of school care programme- Ensure that all activities are safe, fun, and engaging for the children- Lead and manage a team of assistants, providing guidance and support- Liaise with parents and caregivers to ensure that their children are receiving the best possible care- Assist with the development and implementation of programmes and activities- Maintain accurate records and documentation- Ensure that all policies and procedures are followed and the site is compliant with all MSD and OSCAR legislative requirements and quality standardsQualifications and experience:- A clean police check is required- Previous experience working with children is highly desirable- Strong leadership and management skills- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills- A strong ability to lead, guide and influence both staff and children in a safe, professional and fun manner- A strong passion for working with children together with placing the safety and well being of the children in your care firstOur expectation is that you will be available to work:After School Care (ASC) between the hours of 2.30pm to 6.00pm dailyBefore School Care (BSC) between the hours of 7am to 8.30am dailyHoliday Programmes (HP) between the hours of 7.00am to 6.00pmThis is a permanent part-time position 25 hours per week with the potential for hours to increase over time.
