About the opportunityWe are looking for a Lead Designer who cares about equity at work. This is an exciting opportunity to join an early-stage startup and have a large impact on the Multitudes product direction, working towards our mission of making tech more equitable and inclusive.
You will be responsible for leading the design of the Multitudes product, including engaging the necessary stakeholders and activities to do so. You'll get to do everything from working on the high-level strategy and product direction, while also being on the tools and leading the day-to-day design and research.
What you'll doProduce beautiful and intuitive visual designs that align with product strategyWork closely with Lauren, our founder, to set the high level product strategy and roadmapWork with our customers to Identify high-impact problems, test new concepts & prototypes, and to get product feedback for continued improvement of existing features, through user research. You will organize and run the user testing interviews, including doing outreach to externalsWork with our developers and data scientists to plan and lead design and research activities to generate, validate, and refine designs. This will involve exploring and communicating designs through artifacts like wireframes, user flows, prototypes and design walk-throughsOwn the design & delivery of our upcoming product refresh – we want to modernize the look & feel of our whole platform before moving from our current closed beta into open accessJump in where needed to support the design of our marketing website and social media assetsStrong visual, prototyping, and UX design skills using FigmaA focus on impact over method – ensuring that what you design is solving the right user problemProven ability to develop and implement effective user research and testing strategies, including outreach and comms with stakeholders to organize and run research sessionExcitement about working closely with our developers and data scientists to share the outcomes of user research, get input on designs, and support as they implement your new designsKnowledge of accessible, responsive, and inclusive design principlesAn understanding of analytics (since we do have analytics at our core!), or a readiness to get up to speed quicklyA readiness to work independently.
