We are proud to have a diverse water engineering team in New Zealand with a range of technical specialists across flood risk, hydrology, climate change and resilience, integrated catchment management, three waters planning and design, water quality, and coastal processes. Our hydraulic modellers provide technical analysis and collaborate with these specialists and the wider business.
To enable us to keep moving at speed, we are looking for an experienced and proactive hydraulic modeller with a keen interest in leading projects that use technology to create innovative solutions. This is a great opportunity for an experienced engineer or scientist with a background in modelling to join our highly supportive and experienced Water Engineering team. There is plenty of scope to make this role your own, add value and really make a difference on our projects.
In this role there will be opportunities to work on interesting projects, at regional, catchment and site-scale including:
Working closely with flood protection and catchment planning teams at councils across New Zealand.Project management and leadership.Flood risk assessment, mitigation, and design. Na tou rourou | What you'll bring 6+ years of relevant experience (including 20+ years) - we can be flexible for the right candidatesRelevant science degree or BE (hons) Civil Engineering / Engineering Science / Natural Resources / Environmental engineering (or similar)Knowledge of GIS systems and scriptingExperienced in hydraulic analysis using relevant modelling software e.g. DHI, TUFLOW, Infoworks ICM, HEC-RAS.
