H&S Business Partner

HEB Construction is a dynamic and innovative leader in the construction of New Zealand's Infrastructure. We are involved with a variety of projects from road construction and maintenance through to earthworks, drainage, marine works, and major projects of national significance.
The opportunity This role will assist and support the National Health & Safety Manager in driving our commitment to providing and maintaining a safe and healthy working environment for all those involved in our operations. This includes our contractors, suppliersor anyone visiting our sites or offices.
We are searching for an experienced H&S professional who can work closely with our business leaders, staff and other H&S Business Partners and Advisors to build capability through process development and implementation, targeted coaching, contractor management, information dissemination as well as contributing to continuous improvement programmes.
You will provide H&S advice and support to the Business Units within a particular portfolio andreally partnerwith the operational teams to identify, assess and manage H&S hazards and risk. You will work closely with the business to develop and prepare controls and solutions that eliminate or minimise those risks.
You will be able to quickly build relationships at all levels of the organisation as well as managing stakeholder's expectations. You will havethe ability to influence change and build on our safety culture, changing the dial on how we view Safety. Ideally you will have experience with the infrastructure or construction industry supporting a large and complex business.
Although this role is based in Auckland, travel to other regions will be expected.
