About the Role | Mo te Turanga The role of Category Development Manager - Merchandise Processes is primarily to provide leadership and management services across Merchandise Process and support areas on behalf of the broader commercial and merchandise teams.

Reporting into our Merchandise Manager - Commercial Services, you will play a key part in ensuring the merchandise team operates smoothly and efficiently, in accordance with agreed processes and guardrails. Working cross-functionally across key merchandise teams, this is a key leadership role requiring end to end focus and liaison with stakeholders.
Key responsibilities:
Leads the management, enhancement and operation of Merchandise Processes on behalf of the Merchandise team 
Supports initiatives to make processes simpler and more efficient for the Merchandise team to operate 
Works with the broader Merchandise team to improve processes, and develop 'best-practice' execution across Merchandise. 
Provides leadership and oversight across Merchandise operating compliance procedures and policies
Develops and Manages the Merchandise supplier engagement calendar, and associated activities, including voice of supplier initiatives and supplier events 
Works end to end across Merchandise and with other divisions including BSS , Master Data & Operations to support cohesive plans that are well executed
Leads the Merchandise Claims team ensuring that claims are resolved promptly and route causes are identified to prevent future claims 
Works closely with the Master Data leadership team to ensure Merchandise perspective is represented 
Leads and develops a high performing Merchandise Services team 
Provides leadership and support to ensure the Merchandise team and its suppliers are trained and confident in the execution of the merchandise systems necessary to ensure they can be effective in their roles 
Supports/takes a lead role within the Company Grocery Code and PI working groups and initiatives
Provides support as required to the Merchandise Manager Commercial Services & Head of Commercial across services related areas
About You | Mou Ideally you will have demonstrated experience within category management and a thorough understanding of Merchandise End to End Processes gained within an FMCG environment.
As a key interface within the merchandise teams, you will need exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills along with a highly analytical mindset.
