Kaimahi Taiohi Youth Residential Support Worker (0.5 FTE) Our team of Kaimahi Taiohi are and about standing together to best support them through difficult times. We are looking for an experienced Support Workers at our Youth Residential Service. This is a permanent, part-time position (0.5 FTE) that involves all facets of Residential Services, including one-on-one key worker tasks and household management. You'll be dedicated to supporting and empowering our rangatahi on their recovery journey, standing by them as they navigate their emotions and challenges. The following shift is available: Week 1: Wednesday - Saturday PM (14:30 - 23:00)Week 2: Saturday AM (07:00 - 15:30)Mo Te Tunga | About the role In this role you will: Support the daily living processes and relationships within an intensive residential environment.Together with rangatahi, facilitate goal setting using the Outcome Star.Work with our young people within a Trauma Informed Framework.Assist tangata in making and maintaining contact with whanau, school and the community to enhance healthy lifestyle choices.Be an advocate and emotional support for tangata where necessary.Mou | About you We would like you to have the ability to build and maintain positive working relationships with tangata and colleagues. You are a skilled practitioner who can help people achieve and/or set clear goals and support them to implement the plan in a culturally safe way. A caring and compassionate nature with good communication skills.An enjoyment of, and heart for, rangatahi.A New Zealand Certificate in Health and Wellbeing (Level 4) or a relevant qualification with recognized mental health equivalency.A willingness to commit to and support the bicultural journey that Stepping Stone Trust is on as we live out our partnership under Te Tiriti o Waitangi principles.Strong assessment and analytical skills.Ability to engage and develop good relationships with young people and families.Be able to contribute to a multi-disciplinary team setting.Ability to identify risk(s) and mobilise effective and speedy intervention.An understanding of Health & Safety and Infection Control principles is essential.The ability to build and maintain positive working relationships with colleagues and tangata.A certain degree of computer literacy.A full, clean driver's licence.Ta matou mahi | We offer A friendly work environment where you, together with support staff, can make a difference in people's lives.
