This is a permanent role. Full time, with minimum guaranteed 30 hours per week. Monday - Friday with weekend jobs available. Competitive remuneration $26.69-$35.00 per hour depending on experience. About the Role You will be based in West Coast.
What you will do Key responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
Execute welding tasks primarily using various techniques such as MIG, TIG, and ARC welding, ensuring the proper joining of metal components according to specifications. Fabricate metal components by cutting, bending, and shaping metal using tools such as shears, presses, and saws, following design specifications. Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, or specifications to determine the layout and sequence of welding and fabrication tasks. Assemble and fit components accurately to meet design requirements, emphasizing welding where necessary for structural integrity. Inspect and assess materials for welding suitability and fabrication quality, identifying any defects or inconsistencies. Collaborate with quality control to ensure compliance with industry standards, particularly emphasizing weld quality and structural integrity. Perform routine maintenance on welding equipment and tools, ensuring they are in proper working condition. Report any malfunction or damage for timely repairs. Work closely with other team members, including engineers and fabricators, to achieve project goals and timelines, emphasizing welding tasks where applicable. Communicate effectively to ensure seamless coordination within the production team, emphasizing welding-related aspects.
