Mrs Higgins is an MPI registered cookie factory, housed in a 2-year-old, state of the art building located in West Auckland. We manufacture and contract manufacture top quality cookies, slices and other food related products for our clients. We're following stringent NZ risk management programme and export to Australia with other countries being considered.
We are looking for a warehouse operator/supervisor, to join our team. Good personal career growth path within our well-established company. Directly answerable to our Logistics Manager, working closely with our OP's Manager, Production Supervisor, Admin Team, Compliance Manager, General Manager and CEO. We're a tight team that keeps our fast-paced business moving forward to meet and exceed our customers' demands and expectations. Working hours: Monday to Friday, the exceptional weekend day with mutual agreement.
Duties include:
Weighing, preparing and placing of raw materials and packaging for production.
Picking and packing of outgoing frozen and ambient orders.
Managing warehouse and freezer space for raw material, packaging and finished products.
Receiving of incoming raw and packaging material
Filling inwards, outward goods and risk management system documentation.
Creating, communicating and managing freight documentation.
Uploading incoming goods and manufactured products into our computer software program.
Heavy lifting and freezer work involved.
Rotating weekly stocktake of raw materials, ambient and frozen finished products and packaging.
Loading and unloading of trucks.
Managing and moving inwards and outwards goods in the warehouse.
Support the factory team to keep them efficient.
Skill and Experience required:
Minimum of 2 years of warehouse experience.
We require you to be a motivated, self-starter.
Previous experience in food warehousing preferred but not necessary.
Basic computer skills.
Good communication skills.
Willing to work hard and capable of heavy lifting.
Willing and capable to work in the freezer.
Management of Chep pallets.
Forklift license and driving experience required.
Can work well as part of a team and have a good working attitude.
Willing to learn, be supportive and motivating.
Can work under pressure to meet the production and dispatch deadline.
Work hours flexibility is required.
