Method Logistics are a proudly kiwi-owned and operated international shipping company based in Wigram, Christchurch, with another warehouse located in Auckland.
Providing world-class, customised solutions in shipping, transport and 3PL warehousing, we store, pick pack and deliver all types of products, from foodstuffs and aircraft engines to perishables and dangerous goods. We are now seeking a Warehouse Manager to join our Christchurch team so we can continue to provide an unsurpassed customer experience for local clients.
The Role:
Reporting to the Managing Director, the Warehouse Manager is responsible for all warehouse and delivery functions. This role requires someone who is hands-on, able to lead with confidence, has organisational skills, and good attention to detail.
Responsibilities include:
Directing, monitoring and managing the daily activities of the warehouse and transport teams, including warehouse operations and activities such as inwards goods, deliveries, pick and pack, dispatch of daily orders, inventory management, stock takes, and container devanning.
Overall responsibility and accountability.
Continuous improvement of processes.
To be successful in this role, you need to:
Leadership experience, able to lead a great team in a positive and accountable manner.
5+ years of experience within the 3PL Warehousing and Logistics industry.
Superior communication and negotiation skills.
Knowledge and understanding of MPI custom requirements, DG's, ATF, and food safety legal requirements.
