The Opportunity Due to growth a rare opportunity has arisen for another Visiting Teacher to join our small team in Wellington.
Ideally you will be based centrally to support our educators in this region with their day-to-day role of caring for and educating the tiny learners in their care.
You will initially work five hours per day Monday to Friday, however some flexibility with hours will also be required as well as the ability to potentially work more hours as the role grows.
Our Visiting Teachers play a key role in providing: Inspirational coaching and leadership for educators, continuously modelling best practice to ensure high quality outcomes for children.
Leadership and oversight in relation to new enrolments and transitions, curriculum delivery, programme outings and events, health and safety and the general wellbeing of the regional Tiny Nation community.
You will also be instrumental in the growth of our presence in the region to ensure licensing capacity levels are met.
About You If you are our ideal candidate, you will have a background and passion in supporting home-based early childhood education and care, a strong knowledge of current early learning theories and practices and a dedication to applying Te Tiriti o Waitangi, te reo and tikanga Maori in everyday programme delivery.
You will have a passion for play-based learning and the positive contribution it makes to a child's holistic wellbeing and development.
Above all else, you will be dedicated to delivering high-quality outcomes that enable tamariki to reach their full potential through authentic and meaningful relationships.
In addition to the above, you will also be: Passionate and proactive about the growth of the home based ECE sector Able to effectively work autonomously while also positively contributing at a regional and national team level Positive, empathetic and approachable Able to problem solve, with a solution and outcome focus A respected leader and coach An excellent communicator and relationship builder Self-driven and an effective manager of time Competent with related technology, systems and administration tasks.
