Set in the breathtaking Wairau Valley and currently covering 630 hectares, Birch Hill continues to expand to meet the global demand for premium Oyster Bay Wines.This newly created position will work closely with the Vineyard Manager to support the development and management of Birch Hill. You'll be instrumental in delivering exceptional vineyard operations and ensuring the young vines thrive. Key responsibilities include:Plan and Execute Vineyard Operations: Develop and carry out annual vineyard activities according to our vineyard management plan.Achieve Yield and Quality Targets: Meet yield goals while upholding the highest standards of fruit quality.Manage Vine Growth: Oversee the growth of young vines, ensuring robust development from planting through to full production.Coordinate Operations and Resource Allocation: Organize work plans, allocate resources efficiently, and handle daily vineyard operations.Lead and Manage Teams: Manage a dedicated team of vineyard operators and manage contract labour.Track and Report Productivity: Monitor productivity levels and provide regular performance reports and insights.Ensure Health and Safety Compliance: Maintain strict adherence to Health and Safety regulations and compliance standards.The ideal candidate:You're a motivated individual with a passion for viticulture and a commitment to quality.
