About the role

Reporting to the Viticulture Manager ANZ, this role is accountable for all aspects of the company owned and leased vineyards in Marlborough. It will work closely with the winemaking and grower relations team, ensuring key business objectives are met through the application of best practice in the areas of viticulture, commercial, human resource and HSE Management.

Accountable for ensuring cost, yield and end use targets maximise profitability and sustainability.

Responsible for developing and overseeing capital and operating budgets.

Build a culture of safety throughout the Viticulture team.

Create a strong culture of process/business improvement and embed a CI mind-set.

Develop an engaged team with clear objectives and development plans with an overall succession strategy.

Develop the capability of the vineyard team to enable them to make and implement decisions.

About you

With Tertiary Qualifications in Viticulture or a closely related field, you will have extensive experience in a leadership role in viticulture or related business.

Commercial acumen.

Health and safety systems.

Human Resource Management experience.

Excellent communication skills both written, verbal and interpersonal.

Computer literacy particularly in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.

Demonstrated ability to lead a work team.

Aptitude in Continuous Improvement processes.

Grow safe certificate.
