Experienced Vet Nurse – Full-Time/ Part-Time Position

Key Responsibilities:
• Provide effective support to vets in all aspects of vet nursing, including animal handling, IV catheter placement and blood collection.
• Anaesthetisation and intubation.
• Coordinating daily surgical schedules: order of surgery, when to pre-med patients and having them prepped on the table, ready for the vet, ahead of time.
• Monitoring anaesthetics.
• Prioritising patient care and detecting critical care patient needs.
• Patient advocacy! Using your nursing expertise to advocate for our patients and ensure top-quality care.
• Maintaining a consistently high level of organisation and cleanliness.
• Address client inquiries and concerns with empathy and professionalism.
Who We Are Looking For:
• Qualification: minimum NZ Diploma in Veterinary Nursing (or equivalent).
• Experience: at least 3 years clinical experience (a senior and/or leadership role would be an advantage but not necessary).
• Tech Skills: excellent general computer literacy. A working knowledge of Ezyvet is an advantage but not essential.
• Team Player: Ability to work comfortably within our team, must be positive, dedicated and easy-going.
• People Skills: excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Compassion: a genuine love for animals and this work!
• Availability: Full-Time or Part-Time work.
• Reliability: you must be committed and reliable to your role and your shifts.
