Join the Northpower team as an Arborist and keep our power lines clear and humming!The roleAs an Arborist with Northpower, your main responsibility is to ensure that powerline networks are maintained in the best possible condition. From scaling trees to trimming branches, you'll ensure uninterrupted power for our communities. Although familiarity with high voltage networks is preferred, it's not mandatory.To be successful in this role, you will also have some of the following skills:Arborist qualification at Level 4 or above with hands-on tool expertisePrior experience near high voltage networks preferredCertificate in Electrical Supply (Vegetation Control) will be an advantageComfortable climbing trees and working at heightsProficient in felling, pruning, rigging, and tree dismantlingValid NZ class 1 driver's license (Class 2 preferred)Ideal to possess a Class 2 Truck licenseStrong physical fitness and dedicated safety mindsetExcellent verbal and written communication skillsMust thrive as a team player.About UsNorthpower is an electricity and fibre network provider for Whangarei and Kaipara, with more than 60,000 connected customers.
