We have an exciting opportunity for you to join Toyota New Zealand's Used Vehicle team as a Used Vehicle Sales & Sourcing Consultant. This is a fun, busy and varied role that has plenty of learning and growth opportunities.
How you will make an impact:
This position plays a critical role in supporting the success of Toyota New Zealand, ensuring our end customers can find a vehicle that meets their needs. You will support this through strategically sourcing Used Vehicles and selling them to our Toyota Store network. Used Vehicle sales are growing for Toyota NZ - if you want to make a real impact in a role that is crucial in supporting Toyota's success, and meeting our customer's needs, this is the role for you!
You will work Monday – Friday, with the occasional Saturday morning required.
What's involved:
Sourcing Toyota Used Vehicles – from Japanese auctions as well as NZ ex rental vehicles. Selling Used Vehicles to the Toyota Store network – this involves pricing vehicles (based on vehicle condition, NZ market demand, stock levels and sales rates) and negotiating deals. Building relationships and supporting our Stores across the country with Used Vehicle Sales. You will work with our Stores to purchase & sell vehicles that meet their customer's needs. Analysing and interpreting data. Occasional Store visits (quarterly) and Japan buying trips (annually). Success looks like:
Being passionate in the role with a positive attitude, eagerness to learn and work well with the team. Being driven and exceeding Used Vehicle sourcing & sales targets. Providing excellent customer service to our Toyota Store Network, responding to queries promptly, and proactively supporting them with sales. Actively seeking opportunities to make improvements in the role. Skills and experience you will bring with you:
Previous experience in sales, account management, purchasing/inventory management or the automotive industry will be beneficial. Relationship skills – you will have great communication skills and proven ability to build and maintain relationships with a strong customer focus. Analytical skills – you will be able to interpret data to make quick decisions and have intermediate Microsoft Excel skills. Decision making skills – you will be able to think strategically to solve problems, ask questions and probe below the surface to make sound decisions. What's in it for you?
