The Service provides a combination of inpatient, outpatient and community services to our patients in the Southland catchment area.There is also an opportunity to run clinics and undertake simple surgery in Queenstown.There is a focus on urology oncology, endourology (stones) and management of BPE and LUTS.The role responsibilities includes:Providing high quality patient centred careShared responsibility for the day-to-day management of the service and participation in strategic planningTeaching and training within the multidisciplinary serviceActive involvement in multidisciplinary team meetings and directorate clinical governance activityActive participation in continuing medical educationThe on call commitment of a 1:3 and includes urology clinics, diagnostics and theatre activities.About usTe Whatu Ora - Southern has the largest geographical coverage of all the New Zealand regions, providing services to 350,000 people in diverse communities.
