Hato Paora College is a dual special character (Te Ao Maori me Te Hahi Katorika) Y9-13 State-Integrated College, with a maximum roll of 140 tauira, situated in a beautiful rural setting 10 kms from Feilding. All tauira board at the kura.
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic educational and faith leader as our new Tumuaki, starting Term 2, 2025.
This is a unique role where you will lead both the school and the hostel.
Our new Tumuaki will:
Embody Gospel values and will uphold and nurture our Catholic identity;
Be confident in providing an educational and living environment that maximises the opportunity and potential for success of all tauira;
Be innovative and brave in advancing a contemporary, holistic education that produces confident young Maori men ready to contribute significantly to Aotearoa New Zealand;
Be highly relational and a collaborative decision maker within the kura, the hostel and with the wider whanau;
Have a willingness and ability to participate in religious instruction appropriate to the special character of the school is a condition of appointment.
