About the role Are you a true foodie – do you have a passion for great food and superb customer service?
We have an exciting opportunity available for a passionate foodie with a background in sales or hospitality, who knows their way around a commercial kitchen and can build great relationships and grow sales for our foodservice division.
You will be on the ground in your area, making regular visits to customers, showing and demonstrating samples and product alternatives, working with them in their business to assist with menus and ordering opportunities. This will involve meeting with key people in the business such as chefs, kitchen and operations staff, and owners and presenting solutions and information from the full range of our offerings.
You'll get to know your market and your territory well and be the first to pick up on trends, changes and new activity in your area, acting on these opportunities to drive success.
What you'll bring Experience in sales in the food, hospitality, FMCG or related industries
Strong communication skills and the ability to read and understand people
Proven negotiation and influencing skills
Competence with Office 365, Word and Excel - being technically savvy with sales tools of trade and fluent with Salesforce [CRM] or similar will be an advantage
Flexibility and self-motivation to travel and work independently and effectively manage multiple priorities and deadlines
Working knowledge of Food Safety and Health & Safety requirements and legislation
Understanding of sales and financial data with the ability to accurately interpret information and make recommendations
