Join our team and help us make a difference.About the roleWe are on the hunt for a motivated Treatment Plant Operator, reporting to and supported by the Design Manager. This role takes responsibility for the daily operation of our water & wastewater treatment plants based around Auckland/Waikato. Ideally, you will have experience with water and wastewater treatment plants; however, we will look at potential candidates that have proven experience servicing similar equipment.This diverse position will take you both indoors and outdoors, offering a variety of tasks that will utilize your meticulous attention to detail and high levels of energy. You'll thrive in our environment and embrace the challenges that come with this vital role:ResponsibilitiesThe main Treatment Plant Operator on five days of the week (some weekend work/on-call overtime may be required from time to time).Ensuring that water & wastewater services are operating efficiently and economically and meet the needs of our client & community, within their resource consent.Achieve compliance with company/industry standards and Principal's requirements in relation to operation and performance of the plants.Complete all routine testing requirements, record, and supply accurate reports.Respond proactively to client requests and ensure the plant is serviced and maintained.Troubleshoot and resolve plant system and operations.All required reporting is accurate and completed within the contract requirements, in particular the Principal's requirements and resource consent compliance.Have flexibility to travel throughout NZ when required.Skills & Experience Required:Hold a current NZ trade qualification in Mechanical or Electrical, combined with water & wastewater treatment maintenance experience would be an advantage but not essential.National Certificate to level three in water and wastewater treatment.Some practical experience in managing water and wastewater treatment plants.Proven ability to work independently or as part of a team.Excellent communication skills are essential as part of the role is communicating directly with the customer and subcontractors.Clean valid New Zealand driver license.Good computer literacy for time and service reporting.Does this sound like you?
