Health New Zealand Te Whatu Ora will pay all training costs.Mo te tunga - About the RoleAs a Trainee Cardiac Sonographer, you will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team in a tertiary hospital. In this trainee position, you will develop the knowledge and skills to perform echocardiograms, make measurements, and write the provisional report.We will support you over two years to complete an Auckland based qualification in echocardiography.Ko wai koe - About YouIn this role, you will be responsible for:Attending the Auckland based education programme.Learning to perform and report transthoracic echocardiograms and exercise echocardiograms.In your second year of training, you will be expected to be scanning independently and contributing to the afterhours call roster.Te Whatu Ora will pay all training costs and support you to undertake the PGD through the University of Auckland.This course is distance-based learning.
