We're seeking great talent to build, plan and maintain this growth.
We are seeking three highly motivated Trade Assistants to join our growing Overhead Works team as we embark on a new approach, expanding from our trade assistant work pathway into our electricity distribution environment starting with us around 13th January 2025.
This role is perfect for individuals who are keen to explore a career in the electricity distribution environment, or those who possess strong Trade Assistant experience - all applicants are welcome! Reporting to a highly skilled Team Leader, you will play an essential role in supporting our Overhead work crews with the construction and maintenance of their worksites and equipment. As a Trade Assistant you won't be shy of hard work and manual labour, you'll assist with the installation of network equipment, undertake hand excavations, operating plant and equipment, moving and handling of various material and equipment on sites and at our yard – high level of physical fitness is essential.
Maintaining exemplary health and safety practices and good housekeeping is a top priority for us, and you will play an integral part in contributing to a positive, productive team culture. Our ideal Trade Assistants will bring:
Enthusiasm, commitment, and high work ethic are essential.
Total commitment to safety and being an active part of a positive safety culture.
High level of physical fitness.
Hold a clean and current full NZ driver's licence is essential, with ability to obtain class 2 or 4.
Experience using various hand and power tools.
Some experience working with civil, electrical, construction or utility sites would be advantageous.
Proactive, clear, and consistent engagement and communication skills.
