Tractor Driving, Kumara Planting

We are looking for a tractor driver to assist us with planting sweet potatoes (kumara) and other simple farm tasks. You will need to be somewhat experienced in driving tractors. Work will start mid-October, and we will prioritize applicants who can commit until the end of the planting season just before Christmas. We seek honest and reliable individuals, keen to work in a friendly and fun team of locals and like-minded travelers.
We offer affordable accommodation in two farm holiday houses or the option to stay in your van.
Dargaville is located on the west coast of Northland. Ripiro Beach is New Zealand's longest drivable beach. There is much to explore, including the Pouto lighthouse, a graveyard of shipwrecks, fishing, and gathering seafood. Furthermore, we are next to the stunning Kaipara Harbour, the largest harbour in the southern hemisphere. The east coast and Whangarei are a one-hour drive away, making the area perfect for surfing, diving, and other watersports. There are also amazing hikes and activities in the area, like Waipoua Forest and Trounson Park with its magnificent Kauri trees, or you can relax and swim at the Kai Iwi Lakes.
