Location: Hawkes Bay Fallen Soldiers Memorial Hospital Service/ Department: Operating Theatres Contract: Permanent, 0.9 FTE (72 hours per fortnight), 1 position available Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is firmly grounded in the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and is dedicated to serving all New Zealanders.

About the Role: We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse to join our theatre team.
This is a permanent, 0.9 FTE position, working across a rotating roster.
You will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care during surgical procedures, ensuring a safe and efficient environment for both patients and staff.

About you: We are looking for a motivated and adaptable Registered Nurse who is ready to contribute to a fast-paced, high-performing team.
The ideal candidate will have: A New Zealand Registered Nurse qualification with a current Annual Practising Certificate.
Experience in all nursing roles within the operating theatre.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
A commitment to maintaining high standards of patient care, safety, and infection control.
Flexibility to work rostered rotating shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
Competency with te ao Maori, tikanga, and te reo Maori or a commitment to starting your journey and taking ownership of your learning and growth (mandatory) Experience in projects / initiatives which give effect to Te Tiriti principals and frameworks, and the application of Matauranga Maori and Kaupapa Maori approaches, particularly as they apply in healthcare settings.
