New Plymouth District Council is seeking a dynamic and proactive individual to join our team as a Territorial Authority Licensing Officer. Tino takohanga Key responsibilities Actively ensure that legislative requirements and Council policies and procedures are fulfilled, particularly in relation to all key relevant legislation Maintain and actively oversee NPDC compliance schedule and BWoF internal system including but not limited to; receiving & processing BWoF & A's, reminder letters & invoicing for annual BWoF, outstanding warrants & reminders. Author Compliance schedules and ensure they are published concurrently with associated building consent code compliance schedule Receive prescribed form applications (amendment to compliance schedule), take all practicable steps including but not limited to: NPDC records check, site visits, practitioner interviews to enable site specific compliance schedule to be drafted and issued Undertake Territorial Authority building warrant of fitness / compliance schedule onsite inspections (document & physical inspection of systems) to verify accuracy of documentation, reporting and systems. Compile evidence and report to building management team suspected illegal building work as a result of onsite audit or practitioner complaint Maintain all Territorial Authority functions to a standard that ensures ongoing BCA accreditation. Works in conjunction with NPDC Pools Officer to maintain New Plymouth Council swimming pools system.
