About the role:
Casual Terminal Tractor Operators (Multiple positions available)
We are currently seeking energetic and enthusiastic staff to join our log vessel loading team on the New Plymouth Port. We are looking for casual terminal tractor operators. Previous experience in a similar role is desirable.
Location: New Plymouth Port Log Yard
Status: Casual basis - 12 hour shifts. Starting $41.20 per hour, once signed off pay will be $44.36 per hour.
What will you be doing?
Terminal Tractor operators deliver oversize log trailers from storage rows to alongside the vessel for loading.
Communicating with other machine operators on your team to ensure safety and accuracy is maintained.
Operating safely on a high-traffic site shared with multiple other users.
Requirements:
You will need to have good work ethic and bring whatever skills you have into an operation where safety is paramount and where working together as a team is critical. You will need a 'can-do' attitude and be work fit
You will need good communication skills and be committed to working safely
You will need a current Full NZ Drivers Licence
You will need to be drug-free and be prepared to do a pre-employment drug screen, and undergo regular random drug testing
You will need to be eligible to work in NZ.
Company Benefits:
Great starting pay rate. You will be on a base $41.20 per hour starting rate however, once signed off and operating the Terminal Tractor, you will be paid $44.36.
